GrowBright Pathway

The Cambridge Pathway

Cambridge programmes and qualifications are carefully designed to engage learners and give them solid foundations to achieve high levels of academic and personal attainment. Students who complete GrowBright’s curriculum are prepared to excel academically, emotionally and socially in secondary school. We emphasise positive community values and provide a safe and caring framework for children to challenge themselves by trying new things.

The Cambridge Pathway incorporates STEAM which is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.

The end results are students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process. These are the innovators, educators, leaders, and learners of the 21st century.

Mathematics

The mathematics curriculum framework explores five content areas: numbers, geometry, measurements, handling data and problem solving. This curriculum focuses on principles, patterns, systems, functions and relationships so that learners can apply their mathematical knowledge and develop a holistic understanding of the subject.

Science

This curriculum framework covers four content areas: scientific enquiry, biology, chemistry and physics. Scientific enquiry is about considering ideas, evaluating evidence, planning, investigating, recording and analysing data. Environmental awareness and some history of science are also part of the curriculum.

Mandarin and Bahasa

The Mandarin Programme at GrowBright enables students to become competent communicators with the confidence and ability to interact as global citizens. Our exciting communicative and interactive approach to language learning equips students with the desirable skills and language qualifications that are increasingly becoming essential to university and career opportunities.

Students will gain cultural insight and the ability to communicate effectively with a high degree of fluency and accuracy. Students will study the fundamentals of Bahasa enabling them to fully function within Malaysian society in secondary school and in future employment.

English

We live in a global and interconnected economy and we need to prepare our students for it. In addition to teaching Mandarin, we cultivate and strengthen English speaking skills.

English remains a key language in global business, science and technology and we see the importance in preparing our kids to navigate a multi-cultural workplace in which knowledge of languages and cultures other than our own will provide a competitive advantage for the future.

Technology and Communication

Students will not only gain technical skills in coding, robotics, design and the knowledge of cutting-edge innovation in these areas, but will also explore the ways to practically apply these skills to benefit society.

Cambridge Global Perspectives

Cambridge Primary Global Perspectives develops the skills of research, analysis, evaluation, reflection, collaboration and communication.

Creative Expression

Students will have ample opportunity to gain an appreciation for and the know-how to create artistic expression through art, music and performance.

Examinations

GrowBright will follow the Cambridge Pathway and prepare students for external examinations.
